O nás

ABOUT

Situated in the beautifully restored Thurn-Taxis palace in Prague’s historic Malá Strana, AAU is the oldest private university in the Czech Republic offering 17 undergraduate and graduate programs in English to students from over 80 countries across the world. With an average of just 15 students per class, AAU prides itself on small, interactive classes designed for authentic engagement and discussion. The individual attention from professors, diverse community and emphasis on practical learning closes the gap between education and real-world experience, thus preparing students for the global marketplace.

AAU has been recognized as one of the most international universities in Europe and is one of few universities globally to have received accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), an American accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Most of AAU’s programs are also accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. Exceptions are the Law programs and the Chapman MBA program, which are offered in cooperation with international partners.

As a not-for-profit university, AAU continually invests in developing the potential of our community and improving our educational models. AAU pushes students to achieve their highest potential both in and out of the classroom by offering merit-based scholarships, promoting academic research, internships, 40+ exchange, and Erasmus opportunities as well as an array of student clubs to get involved in.

ADMISSIONS

We welcome students from all over the world and from all academic backgrounds. We require that students be able to demonstrate their English proficiency in addition to providing the required documents listed here.

All students will need to have an interview with the Dean of their chosen program as part of the application process, and this interview can be conducted either in person or via skype. Ultimately, the Dean will make the final decision regarding acceptance.

AAU proudly has rolling admissions, so we encourage students to apply at any time. We look forward to receiving your application! Additionally, if you would like to schedule a visit to our campus or plan to attend an upcoming open house event please click here.
